Ps2 can never ever play psx games from hdd because it doesnt use a psx emulator, it uses real psx hardware and like the real psx it only reads from cds, also there wont be an app that can do it cos it would require modification of the ps2 firmware, which cant be done and there wont be any modchip/devices/software that can do it because it works only on the ps2 hardware. There is a disc similar to swap magic that can play psx cds but it cant play cd audio and has the big issue where you cant swap discs still id prefer a psx emulator than using that disc.
